Short-Term Deficits Grow Under President's Budget

This chart by Mercatus Center Senior Research Fellow Veronique de Rugy compares projected deficits through 2019 under the most recent Presidential Budget Request with deficits projected in 2009.  The findings are startling – despite nominal commitment to fiscal reform, the Presidential Budget Request released today reveals $1.5 trillion in greater deficits between now and 2019.
