Susan Dudley Participates in White House's Conference on the Economy

Director of the Regulatory Studies Program Susan Dudley, participated in the December 15, 2004 White House economic summit, "Securing Our Economic Future." As a member of the "Tax and Regulatory Burdens" panel chaired by Treasuray Secretary John Snow, Susan stressed that regulations impose a "hidden tax" on American consumers, workers, and investors. She recommended that Congress and the White House make regulation more accountable to the Amerian people through sunset provisions on outdated rules and codification of bipartison principles for sound regulatory analysis.
