Josefina del Carmen Carcamo Vergara is a PhD student in Comparative Politics at The Pennsylvania State University. She earned an MA in Political Science from Texas Tech University, an MPA in Public Management from Indiana University, Bloomington, and a BA in Law from the University of Cartagena. She previously participated in the Frédéric Bastiat Fellowship. Her research interests include the role of minority groups within the political system, specifically how minority sub-organizations within political parties influence these parties' prioritization of interests and the representation of minority groups in the bureaucracy.
