Juan Carlos Ortega Armas

Juan Carlos Ortega Armas is a PhD student in Economics at George Mason University. He earned an MA in Economics from George Mason University, and a BA in Economics from Universidad Francisco Marroquin. He was a PhD Fellow during the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 academic years. His research interests include institutional economics and constitutional political economy. In particular, he studies why some rules self-enforce while others do not.
