Alessandro Del Ponte is research fellow at the Global Asia Institute at the National University of Singapore. He graduated with a PhD in political science at Stony Brook University in 2019. He was a Mercatus Oskar Morgenstern Fellow during the 2018-2019 academic year. His research interests include using experimental economics to study how the government should respond in difficult times when citizens face severe economic hardships. Alessandro earned an MSc in economics from Bocconi University, an MPA from the State University of New York Albany, and a BSc in economics from the Universita' degli Studi di Genova. He was a Mercatus Center Adam Smith fellow during the 2017-2018 academic year.
