Jon Hartley

Jon Hartley is an Affiliated Scholar at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University and an economics researcher studying finance, labor, and macroeconomics. He is currently an economics PhD Candidate at Stanford University, a Senior Fellow at the Foundation for Research on Equal Opportunity (FREOPP), and a Senior Fellow at the Macdonald-Laurier Institute. Hartley is also a member of the Canadian Group of Economists, the chair of the Economic Club of Miami, and the host of Capitalism and Freedom in the 21st Century, an official podcast of the Hoover Institution.
Hartley holds a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics with Honors from the University of Chicago, an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and an M.P.P. from the Harvard Kennedy School. He is an alum of the Mercatus Adam Smith Fellowship.
