Elsie Jang is a Research Fellow and Emerging Scholar at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, working on AI policy. She combines a Great Books education with programming skills, has studied at St. John’s College and the University of Cambridge, and has held fellowships at Convergence Analysis and Pivotal Research. She writes on her personal Substack and is working on a series of explainers on technologies that serve privacy and security. She recently submitted a public interest comment on accelerator-based confidential computing for secure AI exports.
