Brian Boyd is a Research Assistant Director at Loyola University New Orleans. He earned a PhD, MTS, and BA in Theology from the University of Notre Dame and a BA in Philosophy from Oxford University. He was a James Buchanan Fellow in 2023. He is a moral theologian who focuses on economic justice, seeking to harmonize insights from Aristotelian philosophy, mainline economics, and Catholic Social Teaching. He is interested in the nature of money and the possibilities for a jubilee, entrepreneurship and cooperative social enterprises, and the social scrutiny of novel technology.
