Engy Moussa is a Teaching Associate at the University of Cambridge. She earned a PhD in Comparative Politics from the University of Cambridge, an MA in Political Science from the School of Oriental and African Studies, and a BA in Political Science from American University in Cairo. She was a James Buchanan Fellow in 2023. Her research explores the contemporary foundations and manifestations of authoritarian rule by looking at different understudied facets of this topic, including the political economy of security provision and the poor level of active dissent.
