Matthew Advent

Matthew Advent is a PhD student in Philosophy at The Catholic University of America. He earned a PhL in Philosophy from The Catholic University of America, an MA in Philosophy from Florida State University, a BA in Philosophy from Benedictine College, and an AA from Greenville Technical College. He was a Don Lavoie Fellow during the 2022-2023 academic year. His research examines Aristotle on life and philosophy of biology, specifically focusing on his treatment of the relationship between the heart and soul.
