Pramantha Tagore is a PhD student in Ethnomusicology at the University of Chicago. He earned an MPhil in English, an MA in English Literature, and a BA in English Literature from Jadavpur University. His research interests include the role of music in political economy and how music as a cultural form is tied up in the mode of production in society. More so, he is interested in exploring how music can be used as a model for unpacking arts-based public policy.
