Tristan Brown

Tristan Brown is the S.C. Fang Chair in Chinese Language and Culture Career Development Assistant Professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He earned a PhD and MA in History from Columbia University and a BA in Near Eastern Languages & Civilizations and East Asian Languages & Civilizations from Harvard University. He is interested in the historical development of Chinese law and property rights, particularly in reference to religion and religious practice.
