Violet Acumo

Violet Acumo is a PhD student in Public Policy at the University of Massachusetts Boston. She earned an MPP from Michigan State University, and a Bachelor in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Makerere University. She was a a Frédéric Bastiat Fellow during the 2022-2023 academic year and a Don Lavoie Fellow during the 2021-2022 academic year. Her research examines the personal privacy cost to citizens of enjoying the convenience of city government websites, with a particular focus on understanding how much agency citizens have in controlling their personal information.
