Claire B. Crawford is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Politics and International Affairs and the Program of African American Studies at Wake Forest University. Her research focuses on expanding our understanding of democratic engagement and futures through her study of power and freedom in the political lives of Black folks.
Claire was a Mercatus Adam Smith Fellow during the 2019-20 and 2021-22 academic years, and a Mercatus Don Lavoie Fellow during the 2020-21 academic year.
